Learn About Temple Beth Sholom

Welcome!

At Temple Beth Sholom Preschool we believe in providing children from two to five years old with the opportunity to pursue unknown paths in order to make discoveries.
Recognizing that each child develops at his/her own unique developmental pace, we create an atmosphere where children are given the chance to grow and develop in a safe nurturing environment by building on the concepts of the world around them. Developmentally appropriate activities guide children as they develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually from their second birthday through the pre-kindergarten year.
Our activities focus on process and emphasize creativity and problem-solving techniques The richness of our traditions and culture blend together with secular activities to provide a balance of experiences for each child. The children experience and learn about customs and culture as part of their preschool experience. Shabbat, Judaism and holidays are explored through music, stories, puppetry and celebration.
Our staff is chosen based on their background in early childhood education and their knowledge about developmentally appropriate practices. It is our belief that children must be nurtured by warm, caring, responsible adults to help them reach their full potential as happy, healthy and competent individuals. NAEYC Accredited

Our program is honored to be among a select group of schools that have been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, an organization recognized for developing criteria for high standards in Early Childhood Education.
